Season 7 opens with Seven of Nine visiting Unimatrix Zero, a virtual world where drones can exist free of the Borg collective and free of their biomechanical and cortical implants, and Janeway sees an opportunity to disrupt the Borg even if it means the destruction of Unimatix Zero.
